A rare and resplendent survivor of the Georgian era, this domed cluster brooch exemplifies the grandeur of 18th-century jewelry. Handmade in sterling silver over solid 14K gold, it features over 4.5 carats of antique-cut diamonds, each set in closed-back, foil-lined collets designed to magnify their brilliance by candlelight.
At the center, a brilliant 5 mm old mine-cut diamond anchors two graduated rings: the first with 10 smaller round stones, the second with 10 larger 3.5 mm diamonds. A final halo of 40 one-point diamonds creates a glittering, lacy border. The result is a breathtaking 34 mm wide and 15 mm high dome of floral elegance.
The back reveals unmistakable hallmarks of the Georgian era: a hand-forged overextended C-clasp, a tubular hinge, and laboriously chased gold supports. Intact and original, this brooch is not a reproduction — it is a true artifact of Georgian elegance, ready to be worn or displayed as a collector’s centerpiece.
